The Control Toolbox for Maple is developped by control engineers for control engineers, researchers, teachers or students. It includes functions and options designed in order to make it very easy to use.

Some examples:

  • our functions can compute controllers based on performance criteria, which make you save a lot of time. For example, if you have already computed an LQ state feedback controller in your life, you know that the tuning of the weighting matrices may be long and difficult. In our LQR function (and in some other ones), you have the possibility to specify the desired settling time of the closed-loop system. Then the LQR function computes automatically the weighting matrices and returns these matrices in addition to the state feedback gains

  • our functions compute non only the controllers but also the closed loops

  • the computed closed loops include not only the outputs of the system but also the outputs of the controllers. This allow you to verufy quickly if the control signals saty within the limits of the actuators

  • the Control Toolbox includes an identification function: you do no need to buy several products in order to get all the necessary functions in control

  • the identification function allows to identify not only discrete systems, but also continuous systems, which make the estimation of physical parameters easier.
